About Us

Personalized Financial Planning Rooted in Healing & Empowerment

At Financially Taught, we believe money is more than math — it’s energy, choice, and a reflection of how safe and empowered we feel. Having walked through my own financial challenges and breakthroughs, I now guide others with both practical expertise and lived experience. My mission is to open new pathways: helping individuals, families, and small businesses shift from survival mode into confidence, clarity, and lasting financial freedom.

What sets Financially Taught apart is our healing-centered and intuitive approach. We honor the financial wounds and systemic challenges many carry, creating safe spaces where healing and learning work hand in hand. Alongside financial education, we integrate financial therapy-informed tools and screening applications to help identify patterns, emotions, and beliefs that influence money decisions. Our practice is already rooted in blending financial literacy with emotional awareness — meeting people where they are with compassion and clarity.

Our services include personal finance wellness workshops, family financial coaching, tax planning, and small business consulting — each designed to turn complexity into clear, actionable steps. Financially Taught is not just about giving advice; it’s about sparking transformation and empowering you to align your money with the life you want to create.

Educational Partnerships

As a natural initiator and connector, we also partner with churches, nonprofits, schools, and employers to bring financial wellness directly into communities. Through tailored workshops and group coaching, I help organizations open new doors for their members — sparking healing conversations, building practical money skills, and creating collective empowerment that lasts.

At Financially Taught, we inform, we empower, and we help you embody a new relationship with money — one rooted in freedom, truth, and generational healing.

Gloria Alisyed-Lewis created Financially Taught™ to open new pathways of financial healing, confidence, and freedom. With over 25 years of experience in nonprofit and higher education finance, she has led strategic planning, budgeting, and fiscal stewardship initiatives that helped organizations strengthen their financial health and expand their community impact.

Her work as a Fractional CFO and Controller allows her to guide nonprofits in building sustainable financial systems—rooted in clarity, accountability, and purpose—while her trauma-informed coaching helps individuals and teams address the emotions and mindsets that shape financial decision-making.

Gloria brings a unique blend of financial expertise, lived experience, and compassionate insight. As a candidate for Certified Financial Therapist, she recognizes that money isn’t just numbers on a page—it’s memory, mindset, nervous system, and identity. Her own journey, alongside years of guiding individuals, families, and organizations through financial challenges, grounds her work in both empathy and practical strategy.

Her calling is to help people move from financial stress into empowered decision-making, teaching them to approach money without shame and with renewed confidence. At the heart of her work is a vision of financial literacy as a form of healing—one that restores dignity, builds resilience, and aligns financial health with mission-driven impact.
